Book Review: The Story of My Life by Helen Keller. Posted on April 3, 2018 by Barbara Harper Many people are familiar to some degree with Helen Keller’s story of being locked in a dark and silent existence until her teacher, Anne Sullivan, found a way to communicate with her. The compelling lives of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan are interwoven with quotations from their own writing in a choppy, flat, rehashing of the now-familiar story of Keller's vast potential and the brilliant teaching skills that grew to make Helen's social and intellectual life rich, but negated any semblance of a personal life for Anne. The book “Story of My Life” is a story of courage and determination and a work of inspirational literature. 18.
